(Blitzing Early Stages - Standard Shop Gear) Edit
Once you reach a certain point, your goal should be to get through the early stages with as few battles as possible. Here is a good setup and path to get to the farming stages, as well as appropriate stats for each battle.
Gear Set 1: Samurai Long Sword (or your highest base ATK weapon); Samurai Armor (or your highest base DEF armor); HP Gem (+2 or 3); Fill the rest of your ACC slots with your highest EXP Gems (for this guide, I'm using 3 30% gems and the rest 20%).
Gear Set 2: Samurai Long Sword; Samurai Armor; All of your highest EXP Gems (for this guide, I'm using 3 30% gems and the rest 20%).
Gear Set 3: Samurai Long Sword; Samurai Armor; 3 Movement Gem +1; 3 Encounter Reduction Ring
Gear Set 4: Samurai Long Sword; Samurai Armor; All of your highest LUK Gems
Variant 1/2/3: Swap your base ATK weapon for your highest % multiplier weapon (from Samurai Long Sword to Thunder Sword+1 this happens when the number in brackets "[ ]" is around 100,000; going into Estoc instead, it's somewhere around 60,000 in the brackets)
|1||710 Jousting Fox||9,340||Base||Base|
|4||2,000 Dragon Rider||24,000||45,000||20,000|
|6||5,200 Eye Boss||50,000||85,000||20,000|
|16||13,111 Ice God||50,000||300,000||142,500|
|17||10,840 Fire God||50,000||300,000||142,500|
|18||12,400 Earth God||50,000||300,000||142,500|
|19||12,000 Thunder God||88,000||300,000||142,500|
Battle 1: Use Gear Set 1 and go straight for the Jousting Fox in the Lv710 area (if you get another random battle restart; use Gear set 3 until you're close, if you have issues). Dump everything into HP (should put you around 9,340), then switch to Gear Set 3.
Battle 2: Run to the 1,333 area to the east and switch to Gear Set 2 (first box SE of the bridge; get the next one SE of that if you can do it safely with no battle in the 1,222 box). Dump everything into ATK (you should be around 45,000). Note: with the Samurai Long Sword and Crystal Cape, you can skip this battle and go straight to 3.
Battle 3: Still on Gear set 2 (using 3 for movement, if necessary), take out the boss (if you can't yet for some reason, do a battle in the 2,222 zone). Dump all into DEF (should put you at 20,000 to 25,000). If you skipped battle 2, put 1,500 points into DEF, then everything else into ATK.
Battle 4: Switch to Gear Set 3 and make a run one map west, then one north. If you're lucky, 7/10 times you shouldn't hit any battles before switching back to Gear Set 2 to fight the 2,000 boss. Dump everything into HP, putting you around 24,000.
Battle 5: Switch to Gear Set 3 and make a run for the 3,400 zone in the center of the next map to the north (use the left side of the wall for a shorter path around). Once in, switch to Gear Set 2 and fight one battle here. Dump all into ATK, putting you around 85,000.
Battle 6: Still on Gear Set 2, go straight for the 5,200 Eye Boss. Dump everything into HP (should be just under 50,000).
Battle 7: You should now be approximately level 4,400. Dump everything into HP (should be just under 50,000) and make a run for the 7,000 enemy level area (use Gear Set 3, as necessary, but don't forget to switch back before the battle). After you win, cap off your HP at 50,000, then dump the rest in DEF (should put you around 32,000).
Battle 8: Go south a map and fight a battle in either the 7,480 zone or the 7,630 zone. Dump everything into ATK (should put you around 115,000) (Don't forget to upgrade your weapon, if appropriate). If you have Samurai Long Sword/Estoc and Crystal Cape/Light Armor then you can skip this battle.
Note from Musical Samurai:
- Considering this is an 'Early Stages Guide'; I'd have thought it unlikely that one would have a Light Armour or the Crystal Cape, as the Light Armour drops from the Lv 27200 Red/Green Eyed Dragons (Maze Map) and the Crystal Cape drops from the lv 43000 White Girl (Heaven Map).
Personally: I got to Lv 47500 (Heaven Map) with just an Estoc & Knight Armour (which were both rather painless to farm for).
Battle 9: Head west slightly to the 8.880 zone. Dump everything into ATK again (up to 145,000+).
Battle 10: It's about this time you should look at switching your weapon to one with a higher multiplier. Head to the 10,670 zone and fight a battle (yes, you are over 3,000 levels below; that's ok if your stats match up as described). All to ATK (up to around 200,000).
Battle 11: In a previous version, I said to fight in the 10,800 zone here. I've found that both the 10,670 zone and the 11,800 zone give better exp. In fact, between the two of them, the 10,670 zone might even give better EXP, depending on which monster you get. But I'll let you decide where to fight this one - just don't die. All to DEF this time (up to 53,000).
Battle 12: West a bit to the 11,800 zone. If you're feeling lucky, I've even skipped up or down to one of the 12,000+ zones in this room without any problems. All to DEF again (up to 80,000).
Battle 13: Unless you see a good bonus in the 13,111 zone (i.e. one that helps you kill; ignore money and EXP+ unless you're willing to spend the money to stay alive), stay in the 11,800 zone or one of the 12,000+ zones. Sometimes, if I'm level 9,500 or higher at this point, I'll just go straight for the 13,111 zone; just beware that if you get the blue dragon, you might lose without the assistance of a crit or 2-combo. All to DEF again (up to around 105,000).
Battle 14: You should now be just above level 10,000. If you haven't already, move to the 13,111 zone, but be careful not to trigger the boss. All to ATK (up to 255,000).
Battle 15: Stay in the 13,111 zone. At this point, I balance my stats so I have 142,500 DEF (50,000 for the non-multiplier number = my OCD). My HP is still at 50,000. After that, the rest goes in ATK (up to 263,000).
Battle 16: Fight the Ice God. All to ATK (up to 300,000).
Battle 17: Fight the Fire God (don't forget to switch back and forth between Gear Set 2 and 3). Don't bother with stats.
Battle 18: Skip the Thunder Boss and go for tree boss. Don't bother with stats.
Battle 19: Go back to the Earth Boss. Now dump everything into HP (should put you up to around 88,000).
Battle 20: Now sprint down and hopefully bypass the entire next map to the south. Fight a battle in the 17,500 area. Get your HP up to 100,000, then the rest to ATK (should only be a nominal amount).
Battle 21: Hop down to the 18,400 area. Fight a battle here and all to ATK (up to 335,000). With the Estoc and the Light Armor, I have been able to skip this battle.
Battle 22: Head down one more to the 19,300 zone. Your first battle here will always be very close, but with the stats I've described above, I may have only ever lost once out of dozens of runs. All to ATK (up to 370,000).
Battle 23: On your way to the next area, let yourself be caught in the same 19,300 zone again, unless the 20,000 zone has a worthwhile bonus. All to ATK (up to just under 410,000).
Battle 24: Head to the 20,000 zone. All to ATK (up to 437,000).
Battle 25: Last fight for this set-up. Stay in the 20,000 zone, but walk around and ignore the first 20,000 boss (Yellow Mother) and go south to a second 20,000 boss (Orochi). Some of the points will go into ATK until your stats read: HP - 100,000; ATK - 453,000; DEF - 143,000.
(Blitzing Early Stages - Moderate Gear - easier to get than most others) Edit
If you are like me then you started out with the above guide and worked your way through the game a few times and never get any drops because you always run out of battles too quickly! I decided to edit this guide to help others out with this issue to take your farming to the next level. Using the above guide you should have approximately 34-36 BP remaining depending on how many extra battles you get stuck in. In the guide below the original poster gave an option once you have the best gear in the game to get here with 48 BP remaining! based on that I tested some things and this is what I came up with to get you close without requiring the top tier swords and armor.
First off there are some pieces required but if you are like me and you did a ton of gold farming to open your slots you should have it already since it is a drop in a ??? field. Be sure to have a "Recover Necklace" (4% life steal) for this to work! (I have tried it with a HP+5 gem and had the same success but using different stat orders, other +5 gems may also allow you to use a similar strategy so don't be afraid to play around with whatever you have!)
Gear Set 1: Samurai Long Sword; Knight Armor; HP Gem (+2 or better); Fill the rest of your ACC slots with your highest EXP Gems (for this guide, I'm using 1 50% gem 3 30% gem and 1 20% gem).
Gear Set 2: Samurai Long Sword; Knight Armor; Recover Necklace; Fill the rest of your ACC slots with your highest EXP Gems (for this guide, I'm using 1 50% gem 3 30% gem and 1 20% gem).
Gear Set 3: Samurai Long Sword; Knight Armor; 3 Movement Gem +1; 3 Encounter Reduction Ring
Gear Set 4: Samurai Long Sword; Knight Armor; 3 Movement Gem +1; 2 Encounter Reduction Ring; Recover Necklace
Variant 1/2/3: Swap your base ATK weapon for your highest % multiplier weapon (from Samurai Long Sword to Thunder Sword+1 this happens when the number in brackets "[ ]" is around 100,000; going into Estoc instead, it's somewhere around 60,000 in the brackets), Also if you want to have another gear set with LUK gems (which I suggest doing) you can just use Gear Set 1 and 2 as the same slot, after the first battle switch the HP gem for the Recover Necklace.
|1||710 Jousting Fox||9,340||Base||Base|
|3||2,000 Dragon Rider||9,340||58,700||24,000|
|4||5,200 Eye Boss
(Equip Recover Necklace)
|9||13,111 Ice God||45,000||238,000||76,500|
|10||10,840 Fire God||45,000||238,000||76,500|
|11||12,400 Earth God||45,000||238,000||76,500|
|12||12,000 Thunder God||70,000||238,000||120,000|
Battle 1: Use Gear Set 1 and go straight for the first room boss (if you get another random battle restart; use Gear set 3 until you're close, if you have issues). Dump everything into HP (should put you around 9,340), then switch to Gear Set 3.
Battle 2: Swap to Gear Set 3 and run for the 2,222 Sphinx Boss, before you fight him switch to Gear Set 2, Now you will choose all DEF putting you at
Battle 3: Switch to Gear Set 3 and make a run one map west, then one north. If you're lucky, 7/10 times you shouldn't hit any battles before switching back to Gear Set 2 to fight the 2,000 boss. Dump into ATK putting you to 58,700 attack
Battle 4: Switch to Gear Set 3 and make a run for the Eye Boss zone in the next map to the north (hug the center of the map keeping left a touch to skirt the fence). Once you enter the 50,000 map you will die if you get a random battle so feel free to switch to Gear Set 2 if you want to be safe, I usually just go for the eye without trouble 9/10 times i make it without an extra battle. get to the eye in Gear Set 2 and dump stats into HP to get 45,000 HP
Battle 5: You will now no longer want to use any gear sets without a Recover Necklace so if you are switching the one piece go ahead and swap out one of your Encounter Reduction Rings to make gear set 4, you will now be swapping between 2 and 4 for the rest of the run. Switch to 4 and run south and zone into the 7,480 area and fight a battle in your EXP gear here. Dump it all into ATK to get 100,000
Battle 6: Go south and stop for a fight in the 10,000 zone. Dump everything into DEF (should put you around 76,500) (Don't forget to upgrade your weapon, if appropriate). If you have Samurai Long Sword/Estoc and crystal cape/light armor (whichever of each is better at the time for you), you can skip this battle.
Battle 7: Zone south and head towards the ice boss, switch gear and see how far you can make it before a battle once the Gauge is getting full (you can fight in 10,670 or 10,800 with no trouble and should be ok in 11,800 as well depending how far you think you can make it without a random dump into ATK for 121,000
Battle 8: It's about this time you should look at switching your weapon to one with a higher multiplier. Take a walk to the 13,111 zone but watch your HP carefully you may need to buy health if critical hits aren't healing enough for you, if you are wanting to be careful do one more in the 11,800 zone Dump all into ATK to get 195,000
Battle 9: Now we will try the Ice God, you should be able to take her with no fear at all if your stats are lined up correctly at HP: 45,000 ATK: 195,000 DEF: 76,500 after you do dump into ATK again to raise it to 238,000
Battle 10: Fight the Fire God (don't forget to switch back and forth between Gear Set 2 and 3). Don't bother with stats.
Battle 11: Skip the Thunder God and go for Earth God. Don't bother with stats.
Battle 12: Go back to the Thunder God. Now put about half into HP (should put you up to around 70,000). the rest can go into defence for about 120,000
Battle 13: Now sprint down and hopefully bypass the entire next map to the south. Fight a battle in the 17,500 area. Get your ATK up to 266,000
Battle 14: Head down more to the 19,300 zone. All to ATK (up to 300,000 much higher if using an Estoc).
Battle 15: Now make your way to the 20,000 zone you should have no trouble making it there without a battle, you will want to fight one battle right when you enter it then make your way behind the Yellow Mother Boss to go farm south near the other boss (Orochi) until your ready to move on. the first fight here will be a bit close you can stay safe in the previous area for one more if you like but I just watch for HP and heal if needed (not very often but only if crits and doubles don't happen).
keep fighting in this zone until you have the desired luck and primary stats and then move on to your late game farming. in a perfect run you should have about 47 BP but with the random encounters I am usually at about 44 to 46. I suggest Before moving on try to get your attack up a little higher to get similar stats to the other above stat listed as HP - 100,000; ATK - 453,000; DEF - 143,000. Though I am sure you can get by with a little less HP since you have your Recover Necklace for that.
Also it is always good to switch out the gear if you can, I did this example without changing weapons or Armour but if I put in an Estoc at the end of the run I have 400,000 ATK (instead of 300,000), doing this at the point mentioned above (just before the Ice God somewhere between Ice God and 10,000 area) will make the rest of the run much safer and you wont be checking your health on those fights to ensure you don't die to unlucky crits. I have done this several times now and have only had death once out of all my runs (it can be tough around the 10,000 area jump if you are having trouble do one or two extra battles before this or try the lower zones just before it), it is unfortunate when it happens but you still come out with 40+ BP which makes this tactic preferable to the lower gear version above. anyway hope this helps! happy hunting and please share your experience!
(ATK/LUC Character - High-End Gear/ACCs)Edit
I tested out with the Gold Axe and Crystal Cape and was able to do the entire first map with bosses only, you will need to heal on the eye boss but should have enough Gold to be able to do that (Fox - HP, Sphinx - ATK, Dragon - Defence) With this you will not need to have a HP gem for the first fight since you will one shot the boss before he can hit you. continue on to the 20,000 area landing with as high as 48 battles on a perfect run
For those who followed my guide before, once you have the Green Light Sword and the Aegis/Holy Armor, you should be able to do the entire first map fighting only the bosses (I usually have one unwanted battle, which is just unavoidable). In the second map, your first fight should be in the 7400-8800 zones (wherever you feel safe in not getting an unwanted battle with the wrong gear set). After that, go to the 10,800, then the 13,111, then fight the bosses (Ice, Fire, Earth, Thunder - in that order). I then hop down to the 19,600 zone for one quick battle (the one right before it if I want to play it cautious). Then it's 20,000 zone until I have 10 battles remaining (usually puts me around 150k+ LUC). In a perfect run, I can get to the 20,000 zone after only 12 battles before it, having gained 30, thus starting my farming with 48 battles. More commonly, I'll have 46-47. With 10 battles remaining, after fighting Orochi and the Yellow Mother, I'll be at 17 (I think) battles left when starting the maze.
In the maze, I go straight for the center. Depending on start location, I may stop once for a battle with my EXP gear set. Then it's off to dragon 1 (whichever is closer). Then back to center for a quick battle, then to dragon 2. Then straight back to the yellow boss. If things work out right, you should have around 21 battles left after this fight.
On the next map, I start with the 30,000 zone for 2 battles. Then it's 33,333 for 3 or so more, unless I see a good bonus somewhere, as happens frequently. Even if you don't have the stats for it, if you see an EXP bonus in a higher zone, go for it and just use gold to win it - it's worth it (unless you REALLY need the gold). I'll bounce between the 34,500 and the 36,000 zones until my stats are in a good place to beat the boss.
On the 37,777 map, I immediately use my bonus and go to Gear Set 1, roaming until I find the ?! bonus. If it's not there, go back to the best EXP bonus you saw and wait it out. Most of the time I can get to the crystal zone within 2-10 battles.
Once in the crystal zone, just mash up your LUC like crazy (I usually have 250k+) before bashing the crystals. You should be using all your BP rings before fighting even your first crystal, just to max your LUC first, as those +5 gems (especially the LUC ones) are everything.
On the last map, I usually just farm the 47,500 zone for a couple of drops I haven't gotten yet with what few remaining battles I have left.
